This high-Performance Proxy Server was used to speed up your Internet access as well as providing CD and DVD Disc sharing.
Avantis ContentCache™ was a Plug and play Internet caching appliance that was very easy to install and use.
This high performance proxy server was powered by Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server. It was a smart web caching appliance that was installed on a network to speed up access to web content and e-learning resources. Whether your school or business had a fast or slow Internet connection, it provided a better Internet experience by delivering web content from the local cache rather than directly from the internet.
This server offered much more than a standard caching device – enabling the selection, pre-caching and preloading of web content as well as dynamic caching. This is also a CD/DVD Server. Not only could you quickly receive information from the web you could also share information on CD or DVD discs.
ContentCache™ Central Software was also available for school districts or publisher. It could be used to centrally manage clusters of ContentCache™ appliances installed in a number of locations and carry out a policy-based content deployment.
