Access Control Door Readers are devices that are used to control entry using credentials. These credentials contain a unique ID number that provides identification.
The slave door readers connect to an intelligent controller such as the Hartmann controller. The readers support Radio Frequency ID (RFID) credentials that the person carries or mobile credentials provided by the person’s smartphone.
There are RFID credentials that use 125KHz or 13.56MHz Mifare Smartcard format. The mobile credentials use Bluetooth connections to your smartphone.
The 125KHz readers support either proprietary format 125KHz Prox credentials (that costs less) or an HID Prox card format. The HID format is branded by HID and costs more. The HID type readers are usually used when the organization already has HID type credentials. These readers can be used in many access control systems that support Wiegand type door readers. They are also available in access control kits that include the controller.

Select Mobile Credential Reader: for Mullion | Wall Mount | With Keypad
These mobile readers use an app in your smartphone that provides a virtual credential. These multi-credential readers not only support the Bluetooth connection to IOS and Android smartphones, but they also can use standard Smartcard type proximity credentials (using 13.56 MHz or optional 125 KHz). The following readers are also available in kits that include the controllers.
This is one of the most secure and compact readers available. It combines RFID cards with Bluetooth® (Low Energy) technologies. This mullion reader is specially designed for installation in small spaces.
It is compliant with many existing access control systems but is especially powerful when added to the Hartmann controllers. The BT100M reader uses smartphone virtual credential identification or Prox card credentials.
It can work alongside or replace traditional RFID access badges. It integrates an EAL5+ crypto processor to improve data protection and privacy.
The BT103M reader is similar to the BT100M. The reader is designed for a single-gang wall mount (rather than the mullion type above). It supports Bluetooth credentials and can also read 13.56 MHz (or optional 125KHz) credentials.
This is a secure vandal proof card reader compliant with RFID and Bluetooth® (Low Energy) technologies. Compliant with existing access control systems, the BT103M reader identifies the ID provided by virtual credentials in the mobile phones. It can work alongside or replace traditional RFID access cards. It integrates an EAL5+ crypto processor to improve data protection and privacy.
This multi-credential door reader supports mobile credentials and RFID smartcard credentials. It includes a Wiegand connection. It is an outdoor rated IP65 and single-gang wall mount reader. Used with Hartmann control panels as well as elevator access control panels.
The BT123M door reader includes a keypad. This single-gang wall mounted reader supports Bluetooth and 13.56MHz credentials.
This is a vandal-proof reader combining RFID / Bluetooth® (Low Energy) technologies with a capacitive keypad. It is compliant with many existing access control systems, the reader identifies mobile phones thanks to advanced Prox or handsfree identification modes. It can work alongside or replace traditional RFID access cards. The BT123M door reader integrates an EAL5+ crypto processor to improve data protection and privacy.
This multi-credential reader includes a Wiegand connection. Outdoor rated IP65. Can also read 13.56 MHz credentials. Single-gang wall mount. Used with Hartmann control panels as well as elevator access control panels.
The “BT” series of door readers use the following virtual credentials. The credentials are stored in the smartphone app. There are several optional identification modes so you can select the identification mode that provides the security and convenience that you need.
These 5 modes can differentiate between access points depending on their distance (adjustable from 5 cm / 1.96’’ to 20 m / 787.4’’ *). This means that multiple mobile readers can be installed in the same area.
Place your smartphone in front of the reader just like you would do with a card credential. This virtual credential mode is free.
Slide. Come in! Your hand becomes a card that you always have on you, without needing to take out your smartphone.
This mode requires the purchase of a virtual card credential.
Just walk past the reader! There’s nothing else to it! The distance from the smartphone to the reader is adjustable to maintain security.
This mode requires the purchase of a virtual card credential.
Tap and enter! You can open a door by tapping your smartphone twice in your pocket for close or remote access.
This mode requires the purchase of a virtual card credential.
This mode can be used to open a garage door or gate from a distance. This mode requires that you press the app button to open the door.
This mode requires a more expensive virtual-card credential.
Intelligent IP door reader systems include built-in controllers or have the controller at the door with the door reader.
