Sony W-Series PTZ Camera Features
The W series are the latest PTZ cameras from Sony. You can select indoor or outdoor models with 1.3 Mpixel or 2.0 Mpixel resolution.

The 2-megapixel PTZ IP cameras with 30X optical zoom allow you to recognize a person’s face from a distance of over 900 ft. (274 meters), while the 1.3 Megapixel camera allows you to recognize a person’s at about 600 ft. away (183 m).

The latest video processing chip built into these 6th generation megapixel PTZ cameras provides 130 dB of wide dynamic range (WDR) that makes it ideal for applications where there is a very bright background scene that you would like to be able to see. The Sony cameras provide both WDR and low light level performance at the same time, while Axis requires that you choose between low light performance and WDR.
Gyro Based Image Stabilizer. Whenever you zoom in on objects that are far away (30X), you require camera stability. The image stabilizer makes sure you get a clear image even if the camera is mounted on a pole that’s buffeted by the wind.
