Sony Dome IP Cameras

There are several megapixel dome IP cameras available. You can select the resolution, vandal-resistant or outdoor-ready models. The outdoor models have built-in IR illumination that allow them to see in total darkness, but make sure that your viewing area is within the range of the illuminator. Most of the Sony IP dome cameras provide megapixel resolution. You can select 1.3, 2.0, or 3-megapixel models. If you require a higher resolution camera then you will have to look at some of the other IP camera manufacturers such as the Hanwha Dome IP cameras

You can select from the cost-effective EM6XX series or VM6XX series with value-added features such as two-way audio, IO connections and edge storage (using SD card). There are also a number of very small X series IP domes for indoor applications where a variable lens is not required.

This series of cameras include indoor dome, vandal resistant, and outdoor models with built-in IR illumination.

These IP cameras come with variable 3.0 mm to 9.0 mm lenses. These lenses allow adjustment from 93.0° to 31.6°. The X-Series of dome cameras come with fixed lenses.

2-Megapixel Dome IP Cameras

The V-series and E-series domes include remote zoom and focus lenses that make them easy to set up. The VM632R and EM632R are available with built-in IR illuminators so they can operate in total darkness.

You can select indoor standard dome models, vandal-resistant models and outdoor-ready models. The sensor provides 1920 x 1080 resolution. The remote zoom and focus lens can be adjusted between 105° and 35°. Select one of these models if you would like to be able to recognize a person’s face in a viewing area that’s less than 35 ft wide. more …

3.0 Megapixel Dome IP Cameras

Select this series of domes when you need to view a very wide area. The higher resolution 1920 x 1440 allows you to identify a person’s face or license plate in about a 35 ft. wide area.

The lens can be adjusted between 88.5° and 32.3°. You can select the V-Series with wide dynamic range and audio capability, the E-Series economical dome cameras.
